We combined two small adjoining apartments to make one grand four-bedroom residence with views of the East River. One enters into an elegant, octagonal vestibule that leads to an open kitchen, living, and dining room. We were able to create a spacious children's playroom by reorganizing the floor plan layout very precisely to carve out extra space.
