Creedmor Psychiatric Center Master Plan

This master plan seeks to transform the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center campus into a dynamic, mixed-use community in eastern Queens. The project introduces over 2,800 housing units, reintegrating the site with the surrounding neighborhood through affordable homeownership and rental opportunities. By blending new low-density housing with existing infrastructure, the plan revitalizes the area while preserving its historical character.

Urban agriculture flourishes in underutilized spaces, with community gardens and greenhouses providing fresh, healthy produce and fostering community engagement. These green spaces promote sustainability and social interaction, enhancing residents' quality of life.

Additional features include 14 acres of open space, a recreation center, daycare, school, and retail facilities, creating a vibrant, self-sustaining neighborhood that serves as a model for innovative urban planning.
