Colorado House

Located on a steep, heavily wooded site in the Rocky Mountains, this 8,000 SF house of stone and glass extends into the landscape to give the impression of a re-inhabited ruin, found in the wilds. A bridge over a ravine leads to the front door of the five-bedroom house, from where a terraced corridor leads down to the primary public spaces. The children's wing at one end is answered by the parent's bedroom in the tower and a spacious office at the summit.
