Catskills Farmhouse by
Alexander Gorlin Architects

This addition and renovation to a Dutch Colonial farmhouse in the Catskill Mountains preserves a 1784 stone residence as the centerpiece of its new plan. The original house contained the main entrance, family room and kitchen. Additions include internally linked pavilions that extend into the landscape and relate to the existing barn structures, creating spaces for new bedrooms, living areas and a study. The residence incorporates a community of related buildings giving the impression of a small village among the lush, country landscape.
