Newburgh Development by
Alexander Gorlin Architects

This master plan and schematic design, prepared in partnership with Leyland Alliance Developers, envisions a new residential community on a bank of the Hudson River. The development centers around the conversion of a 1840s factory warehouse situated on the waterfront into residential lofts. New town houses extend the new neighborhood north and south along the river's edge as well as inland across a railway that runs through the site. The factory conversion preserves a sense of the site’s industrial heritage within the context of the new residential community.
