Bösendorfer Piano by
Alexander Gorlin Architects

The dynamic form of the design reflects the nature of music that emanates from within the piano and projects out into space. The asymmetrical folded casing forms a carapace that frames the soundboard creating interlocking solids and voids capturing the space around the piano. Just as the great classic composers broke with the music of their day and created new compositions, so this piano anticipates the future of new music in our day.
